May Not Be Truly There, 2022

A Digital EP produced by Knee Deep In Custard

If you blur your eyes slightly, look at the light outside your window at sunset you’ll be able to stare at your computer screen for more than 4 hours with no breaks. That’s how the first track of, “May Not Be Truly There” was created.

The E.P is a mix between ambient soundscapes, hums, voices and ethereal sounds.

I Want To Know Something/Else, 2022

This is the first single produced by Knee Deep In Custard.

‘I want to know something’ started from a point in the evening where I was watching YouTube tutorials on how to do certain things. These certain things don’t really matter, but rather formed an appreciation for understanding rather than just doing them.

Now “I want to know something else”

The E.P is a mix between ambient soundscapes, electronic sounds, piano loops and guitar riffs.

PTA, 2019

presented by Riley Pam-Grant, Matthew Matthysen & Abi Meekel

We aim to investigate the performative transition of objects and subjects (or subjects that become objects) into remediated digital forms. In this digital form, the life span of the objects and subjects are now suspended indefinitely, embarking on a digital journey, wherein they take on new types of performances and functions as a result of digital interventions, which changes the nature of autonomy.

Gradient is an experimental video piece that was shot on a sony a7 iii in Johannesburg. The video appreciates the mesmerizing movement of sitting in the back of the car, starring out of the window and tuning into the patterns, colours and gradients of the passing road.
